Iva Pavelchuk was born on May 16, 1968 in Kyiv. Works in the field of modern Ukrainian painting. It has been exhibited annually since 1988. During 32 years of exhibition activity, I. Pavelchuk held 20 personal exhibitions and took part in more than 100 exhibition projects in Ukraine and Europe, published two personal catalogs: "Neo-Secession 1986-1995", "Genealogy of Color". The bibliographic list of the artist includes more than 90 professional art reviews in the periodical press, art magazines, foreign catalogs, reference books, etc., including in the publication "History of Ukrainian Culture" ("Naukova dumka" Publishing House of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine).

In April 2022, she received the CEEPUS (Central European Exchange Program for University Studies) International Scholarship in Poland for the author's innovative course in the discipline "Color Studies" "Dialogue of Colors" 6 lectures and 16 practical exercises (№F-2122-158434), for students of EC higher education institutions within the framework of the international scientific and educational project The Polish National Agency for Academic Exchanges (NAWA) April-June 2022.

Iva Pavelchuk's works of art are kept in museum collections: T.G. Shevchenko National Museum, Kyiv National Museum of Russian Art, Ukrainian Center of Folk Culture "Ivan Honchar Museum", East Kazakhstan Regional Museum of Fine Arts named after the Nevzorov family; municipal collections: Directorate of Exhibitions of Ukraine NSHU, Association of Art Galleries of Ukraine, Paris Fund of Modern Ukrainian Art "Phoenix". I. Pavelchuk's works were purchased by commercial institutions: Moscow Palette Association Joint Stock Company, Zolotoe Sechenie Auction House, Nasha Karta restaurant chain, von Trott zu Solz Lammek Rechtsanwälte Notar - Berlin private notary agency.

 


Education

She had been studying private studios: Michael Gleyser (1983-1988) Ukraine-USA, she was practicing under National artist of Moldova Michael Greku (1988-1993) and National artist of Ukraine Anatoly Krivolap (1994-1995). From 1995 year she became a student of National Academy of fine arts and then had graduated 2000.

Scientific career and research

  • 1995 - member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine
  • 2000 - graduated from the National Academy of Art and Architecture of Ukraine
  • 2000-2010 - research work into the development of the modern Ukrainian art.
  • 1995-2000 - Theoretical basis of works “Genesis of Colour” and thesis “Referentna Kolorystyka” .
  • 2001 - Grant from the IV International Gallery of Moscow
  • 2004 - Scholarship from the Culture Minister of Poland
  • 2007 - She teaches at the Academy of Arts
  • 2009 - title Honorary Artist of Ukraine
  • 2010 - title PhD in Arts, associate prof.
  • 2013 - Monograph “Creative Models of Abstract Ukrainian Art 1980–2000. Epistemology of Creativity”, based on the PhD thesis.
